Grok Bot: SpaceXAI's AI teammates on Cursor, what they cost and how skills work

Grok Bot gives you named AI teammates, called Bots, each with a job, its own conversation and accumulating context. It is not the Grok AI chatbot, a separate SpaceXAI app. All your Bots share one persistent Cursor-hosted cloud computer with a browser, terminal and file system, each working on its own screen, so work carries on after you close your laptop. SpaceXAI announced it on August 11, 2026, and the launch post calls it a beta.

#How do Grok Bot's teammates work?

Bots use plugins where one exists and computer use for everything else. The docs name Gmail, Notion and Slack; an installed plugin serves every Bot, and its OAuth tokens stay on Cursor's connector backend. Passwords, two-factor codes and payment checks come back to you as a masked secret request, kept out of the transcript. Auto Review evaluates shell commands, plugin calls, computer use and automation writes, and can let an action proceed, require approval, or deny it. Two to six Bots can share one group chat.

#Which plans include Grok Bot?

Access comes with every paid individual Cursor plan: Pro at $20 a month, then Pro+ and Ultra. Cursor's newer, more specific help page says a self-serve Teams plan covers every member with no Premium seat assigned; the launch post named only Teams Standard and Premium subscribers. You can instead link an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription, which are the chatbot's plans, for a usage grant; it does not stack with a Cursor plan and is permanent. The free trial is a usage credit rather than a set number of days, though a 7-day window also applies.

#How do skills and routines work?

Two ways make a skill: ask in chat, or use Teach a task, which turns a browser workflow of up to ten minutes into a draft skill. Teach a task is still rolling out; until it appears, ask the Bot to build one from written instructions plus a finished task. A routine runs a workflow on a schedule or from an event such as a Slack message. A Bot can own up to 50 routines, each keeping its 20 most recent run records. Cursor's Grok Bot docs mention no SKILL.md files or MCP servers, so a skill written for the Cursor coding agent may not carry over.

#Where does your data go?

Bot computers run in the United States today, which the security FAQ separates from Cursor's US-only data residency programme; that programme does not cover Grok Bot by default. Connector tokens stay on Cursor's backend. The computer is always Cursor-hosted, so to own the machine look at OpenClaw instead.
